Our story started with a project that facilitates payment services for people in Africa. The project needed a cost effective solution that could verify one million + users at scale.
There were several problems with the main global identity service providers.
- They are expensive – really expensive.
- The solutions mainly cater for people with lighter complexions (the darker the skin complexion, the harder it is for the established players to participate).
- Global identity players can give a validation percentage of 50% to 80% only.
- Most do not supplement the unclear verifications with additional manual verifications.
The team partnered with industry experts in the image processing field and from this space, iValidate was born.
